Non – oil and gas Contributed 74,7% of the Total Export

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA –Secretary of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto, said, in the third quarter of 2017, some sub sectors had good work more than the progress of the economy. For example, basic metal industries that reached 10,6%, food and drink industries, about 9,49%;and transportation equipment industries reaching 5,63%.

Not only in manufacture industries, the additional value also derived from other industries, such as, in agro – base, mining, and mineral. These industries have kinds of derivative industries, such as, downstream products of palm oil, and stainless steel. “There were 154 kinds of products from palm oil downstream products but they were about 126 products in 2014,” he said.

Based on Central Bureau of Statistic, the exports of non oil and gas from the industries in January -November 2017 increased 14,25% compared to the same period in 2016. In the first semester of 2017, the exports of the industries reached US$ 59,78 billionor increased 10,05% compared to the same period in 2016 that reached US$ 54,32 billion.

The exports of the non-oil and gas industries contributed 74,76% of the total exports nationally in the first semester of 2017 that reached US$ 79,96 billion. The countries to export were China, United States of America, Japan, and European Union.

The non – oil and gas industries contributed to the domestic gross nationally in the third quarter of 2017 reaching 17,76%. While the progress of the non-oil and gas industries in the third quarter of 2017 reached 5,49% or more than the economic progress that reached 5,06%. (T2)
